Vision 2020

The Vision begins...2015 (Flashback Thursday)

Vision 2020 - Community Driven Solutions to meet Human Needs was the second meeting for District 5 and the leaders of the East Valley, with Special Guest, Congressman Matt Salmon.

This significant and catalytic event featured a passionate challenge by Rep. Salmon for all to work together, maximizing resources and efforts, while working for a systemic solution in human services. This challenge was accepted by all in attendance; Mayor Giles of Mesa, Mayor Lewis of Gilbert, State Representative Andrew Sherwood, along with Faith Based, NonProfit, Business and Education leaders, who rolled up their sleeves and went to work identifying the three top priorities, and resources available and not available, under the watchful eye of Chuck Fitzgerald, Director of the Governor's Faith Based and Community Partnership Office.

With the high tech wizardry of the locally based business, Crowd Mics, texts, ideas and comments were captured, cataloged and communicated to all; setting the stage for the next meeting in early October.

We here at the Mesa Chamber of Commerce and our Non-Profit Vitality Council, consider this a huge win/win for Mesa and all the East Valley.
